The 'Digital Abhiyan' was introduced by the Government of India on July 1, 2015. This initiative facilitates the digitization of government-related documents and the majority of services. Among its components is the 'Voter's Helpline App,' providing a convenient online platform for requesting a Voter Card. With this app, the process of obtaining a new Voter Card has become notably straightforward, user-friendly, and time-efficient.

Every Indian citizen aged 18 or above possesses the right to vote. Consequently, anyone reaching the age of 18 becomes eligible to request a Voter Card. Furthermore, individuals who turned 18 earlier but lack a Voter ID can utilize the Voter's Helpline App to apply for one. The entire procedure can now be completed from the comfort of one's home, eliminating the need to visit a government office in person.
